OUR APPROACH

Working with Nature

Create a nourishing, ecological, and easy-to-live garden. At Petites Terres, we design gardens that produce fruits, vegetables, and herbs while promoting biodiversity and soil life.

Maintain without purpose

My method

Work with nature

Every garden can contribute, in its own way, to the return of life.

Our 4 principles.

Our approach to creating nourishing and ecological gardens is based on four principles. They guide the design, implementation techniques, and the evolution of the garden through the seasons.

Understand

We observe the soil, water, sunlight, and existing vegetation. A good project arises from agood understanding of the site.

Collaborate

A garden becomes more resilient when it relies on the balances of life.

Preserve

We limit heavy mechanical interventions, avoid tilling and seek to maintain the natural structure of the soil.

Value

We seek to integrate existing elements rather than replace them.

Nature takes its time

Like any living ecosystem, a garden is not built solely by planting.

duration: <1week

Observe & design

We analyze the soil, water, sunlight, existing vegetation, and your goals in order to design a project suited to your land.

duration: 0-12weeks

Initiate the soils

Before planting, we prepare the ground when necessary: shading, mulching, adding organic matter, false seeding, or other gentle techniques that promote soil life.

duration: 0-1week

Plant

Trees, shrubs, perennials, and ground covers are installed in soil ready to welcome them.

duration: to be defined together

Support

We follow the installation of the garden, adjust the plantings if necessary, and support its evolution towards a more autonomous ecosystem.

The concrete benefits of a living landscape.

Biodiversity

More life in the garden.

Resources

Harvests, fruits, and herbs.

Maintenance

Less watering, mowing, and treatments.

Resilience

More resistant to climate variability

We do not deliver a finished garden. We are launching an ecosystem in development.
